The video ‘Carte Blanche’ has been inspired by the painting 'The Blank Check' by René Magritte, in which a rider on horseback appears to be intertwined with a row of trees. As well painting as video deal with perception and interpretation. Both ask the viewer: What do you fill in for what you don't see? What for what you don't know?
